Telephone system continuity
When office phone lines or systems are unavailable, a common strategy is to divert all calls to a mobile number. This works, but there are downsides.
Do you remember what happened the last time you were in a car on a motorway, and one lane was closed? Your journey suffered – you travelled slower and sometimes came to a complete halt. All because the same amount of traffic was being squashed into fewer lanes.
It’s no different if you divert the company phone lines to a mobile. One phone line is now trying to service the calls that would normally travel over a multi-line system. Only in this situation, it’s your customer journey that suffers – as well as your reputation, productivity, and ability to generate revenue.
All businesses need telephones – all the time. If they stop ringing for whatever reason, you need to be sure you have a robust backup solution in place to keep your employees productive, your customers happy, and your reputation intact. Our continuity platform is designed to minimise business disruption should disaster strike, giving you continuous peace of mind that you will always remain connected to your staff, customers and suppliers in the event of a crisis.
Here's How it works

NUMBER PROVISIONING
We will provision a geographic phone number on our platform that is assigned to your company. Costs are minimal and the number will not change.
PLANNING
Next, we pre-program a ringing strategy for that number. You can include as many mobiles and landlines as you want and they can be configured to ring simultaneously or sequentially. You can also add an IVR to greet customers and tell them that your phones have a problem.
FAILOVER
If disaster strikes, you simply divert calls to our continuity platform. At this point, incoming calls will start coming into our system. You can then transfer calls to your backup mobiles and landlines as necessary during the outage.
RECOVERY
Once your phone system has returned to normal service, simply remove the divert and your office phones will start ringing again. We will then bill you for the calls that have been carried by our platform.
Having a telephone system continuity and disaster recovery plan in place is vital for any business that depends on telephony. Our continuity platform is simple to use, low-cost and will keep you connected and operational in the event of a disaster.
